What the sample was worked in. Any weight works; the size moves with it.
Each one is typed out whole and gets its own line.
This bear ornament builds from four small amigurumi pieces: a head worked in continuous rounds from a magic ring, two matching ear pieces joined by a slip-stitched chain loop for hanging, a small hat worked flat in turning rows, and a separate magic-ring nose. Round increases carry the head from 11 stitches to 36 across three rounds, while the hat grows row by row with a 3-chain turn at each edge. Before starting, have brown, red, white, and black DK yarn, a 3.5 mm hook, googly eyes, a yarn needle, and scissors ready, along with black yarn for the embroidered nose detail.

Round 2 doubles the head's stitch count to 24 by placing two double crochets in every stitch, then Round 3 spaces those increases with one plain stitch between each pair to reach 36 stitches; this staggering is what keeps the head curving evenly rather than pointing at the increase line.
Ear 1, the Chain Loop, and Ear 3 are worked as one continuous piece rather than three separate pieces, which is why a single Finish step at the end covers the slip stitch, fasten off, and weaving in for all three sections at once.
| Bear Head | about 30-40 minutes, because of the three increase rounds carrying the stitch count from 11 up to 36 |
|---|---|
| Hat | about 45-60 minutes, because it is worked flat over 11 rows with a turning chain and edge increase on every row |
| Ears, chain loop, and face finishing | about 30 minutes, because of the two matching ear pieces plus attaching the nose, embroidering the triangle, and setting the googly eyes |
