This bracelet builds from four separate pieces: a sage green lace diamond worked in 12 rounds, a dusty pink rose rolled from two tapered petal strips, four long and four short leaves, and a beaded edging worked directly onto the base panel. Have sage green and dusty rose size 10 thread on hand, a size 7 steel hook, pre-strung beads on a beading needle, and a blocking board ready before the first stitch, since the panel is pinned and dried flat while the rose stays unblocked.

Common mistakes and their fixes

Stringing beads after starting the edging
Load all beads onto the dusty rose thread with a beading needle before working a single stitch of the Beaded Edging, since there is no way to add beads mid-row.
Losing the stitch-height sequence in petal rows
Mark where sc shifts to hdc, dc, and tr in Row 1 of each petal strip with a scrap of thread or a pin, since the tapered sequence is what creates the rolled rose shape.
Blocking the dimensional rose by mistake
Keep the rose off the blocking board entirely; only the base panel and leaves get misted and pinned, per the assembly steps.

The materials list

  1. Dusty rose or blush pink : approximately 80 yards (73 m) for the rose, braided band, and accent edging

Sage green

  1. approximately 50 yards (46 m) for the vine base panel and leaves
  1. Steel crochet hook size 7 US steel (1.65 mm)

Optional

  1. size 6 US steel (1.8 mm) for the braided band if your tension feels too tight
  1. Beading needle or twisted wire needle for pre-stringing beads
  2. Tapestry needle for weaving ends
  3. Scissors
  4. 2 large-hole stoppers or bead caps for the sliding closure ends (optional but recommended)
  5. Blocking board and pins
  1. Lizbeth 100% Egyptian Cotton Thread, Size 10 in colors Dusty Rose Medium and Sage Green. Excellent sheen and consistent twist, widely available.
  2. DMC Traditions Crochet Cotton Thread, Size 10 in colors closest to Ecru Rose and Khaki Green. Widely available at craft chain stores and budget-friendly.
  3. Aunt Lydia’s Classic Crochet Thread, Size 10 in colors Soft Mauve and Sage. Very consistent for beginners working with thread.

Substitution note

  1. Any size 10 crochet cotton in comparable colorways will work. Avoid mercerized threads with very high sheen if you prefer a matte, romantic look. Do not substitute with yarn heavier than fingering weight or the lace panel will lose its delicate structure.

(19 sts around leaf plus sl st join)Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch (15 cm) tail for sewing.

Beaded Edging on Base Panel

Pre-string 30 seed beads and 20 crystal beads alternating (seed, crystal, seed, crystal) onto a new length of dusty rose thread.

Round 1

Join dusty rose thread at any outer shell tip on the base panel.

Round 2

Edging Round 1: Ch 1, bsc in first st (slide one bead into place), sc around entire outer edge working into the tip of each shell and into each connector arch. Place one bead every 3rd stitch until all beads are used or the round is complete. Sl st to first sc to join.Place approximately 1 bead every 3 stitches around the perimeter. With approximately 80 outer sts, you will use approximately 26 to 28 beads in this round, which matches the pre-strung count.Fasten off. Weave in end.

Part B: Dimensional Rose

The rose is made from two petal spiral strips: one small inner strip and one larger outer strip, both in dusty rose thread.

Part C: Individual Leaves

Make 8 leaves total in sage green thread. Four leaves will be longer and four will be shorter.

Part D: Braided Adjustable Band

Cut 6 strands of dusty rose thread, each 40 inches (102 cm) long. Group into 2 sets of 3 strands. Braid each set for approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm). Both braided sections will serve as the two sides of the wristband passing through the base panel.

Thread one braided cord through the upper left side of the base panel, passing under the lace on the back, and bring both ends out to the right side. Thread the second braided cord through the lower right side of the base panel in the same manner. The two cords cross behind the panel.

Create a sliding knot closure on each pair of cord ends as described in the Special Stitches section. Thread one seed bead and one crystal bead onto each cord tail and knot to secure the decorative end.

Checkpoint: With the closure slid fully open, the bracelet should comfortably accommodate a wrist up to 8 inches (20.5 cm). Slid closed, it sits snug on a wrist as small as 5.5 inches (14 cm).

Assembly, in order

Step 11. With all components assembled except the band, mist the base panel and leaves lightly with water or spray starch.
Step 22. Pin the panel face-up onto a foam blocking board, stretching gently to reveal the diamond shape and open up the lace grid.
Step 33. Allow to dry completely, 1 to 4 hours depending on humidity.
Step 44. Do not block the rose. Leave it unblocked to preserve its dimensional shape.
Step 55. Once dry, remove pins and thread the band.
Step 66. Trim all tails flush after weaving in.

Check these before you start

  • When placing beads, slide each one against the WS of the fabric as instructed; the edging is folded into position afterward so beads end up facing the RS once worn.
  • Keep the rose and leaf threads separate from the panel thread at all times, since the pattern uses two distinct colors (dusty rose and sage green) across four components with no color-blending steps.

Set-up

  • Pre-string all beads onto the dusty rose thread before starting the Beaded Edging, since beads cannot be added mid-stitch once the strand is loaded wrong.
  • Read through Row 2 of both the Inner and Outer Petal Strips before casting on, since each stitch height doubles in place and misreading the sequence skews the taper.
  • Confirm you have both the 80-yard dusty rose amount and the 50-yard sage green amount set aside separately, since the two colors are not interchangeable between parts.
  • Swatch a few rounds of Part A in sage green to check that your size 7 steel hook gives an open, even lace grid before committing to all 12 rounds.

Finishing

  1. Mist the completed base panel and leaves with water or spray starch, then pin the panel face-up to a blocking board, stretching gently to open the diamond lace grid, and let dry fully (1 to 4 hours).
  2. Leave the dimensional rose unblocked so its rolled, three-dimensional shape stays intact, then remove the panel's pins once dry.
  3. Thread the braided adjustable band through the finished panel, weave in all remaining tails with a tapestry needle, and trim every tail flush.

Construction

Part A's Row 1 forms a ring of 8 sc that anchors four repeating ch-2 and ch-3 lace rounds outward, so the diamond shape grows symmetrically from a single center point over its 12 rounds.

Both petal strips are worked flat along a foundation chain with stitch heights rising from sc to tr across each row, then doubled in Row 2; this graduated ruffle is what allows the strip to roll from its narrow end into a rose shape rather than lying flat.

Time per section

Part A: Lace Vine Diamond Base Panelabout 2-3 hours because the panel runs 12 rounds in fine size 10 thread on a size 7 steel hook
Inner and Outer Petal Strips (Dimensional Rose)about 1-2 hours because each strip's stitch heights change within the row and then double in the ruffle row, which slows the count
Leaves, Beaded Edging, and Assemblyabout 2-3 hours because 8 leaves must be worked individually, beads must be pre-strung and placed one at a time, and the panel needs drying time before the band is threaded

Common questions

Can you substitute a different thread brand for this bracelet?
Yes, any size 10 crochet cotton in a comparable dusty rose and sage green colorway will work. Avoid substituting yarn heavier than fingering weight, since the lace panel depends on fine thread to keep its open grid.
Why does the base panel need blocking but the rose does not?
The base panel is a flat lace grid, and misting and pinning it open reveals the diamond shape described in the assembly steps. The rose is already dimensional from being rolled, so blocking it would flatten the shape you just built.
