This is one body worked three ways: a 14-round head, 17-round sewn-in-leg body or 7-round jointed-leg body, paired arms and legs, and two ear styles cover fox, wolf, and arctic fox in a single set of instructions. Bulky chenille yarn and a firm E-4 or G-6 hook build a dense, plush fabric that holds stuffing without show-through. Before starting, decide which animal and which body version you want, since color changes and joint placement branch from that choice early. Have trapezoid safety eyes, a safety nose sized for your animal, joint discs if jointing, and both fiberfill and embellishment yarns on hand. The finished toy stands approximately 10–11 inches tall in the upright version, or sits at roughly 9×9 inches in the four-legged pose. The pattern is written for intermediate makers comfortable working in continuous spirals, changing colors mid-round, and installing joint discs.
Common mistakes and their fixes
- Confusing sc-inc with hdc-inc
- The arms use a regular sc increase in Round 2 while the legs use hdc-inc in Round 3; check which piece you're holding before working the increase round.
- Skipping mid-piece stuffing
- Stuff the arms and legs in small amounts as each round closes, not after Round 12, since the dc-cluster paw is too narrow to pack firmly once finished.

Check these before you start
- Use whichever of E-4 or G-6 produces a firm, tight fabric in your hands with this chenille yarn — gauge is not fixed, but stuffing must never show through the stitches.
- Stuff arms and legs as you go rather than at the end, since the narrow paw shaping in Rounds 3-5 is hard to fill evenly once the piece closes further.
- This pattern is written in US crochet terminology.
- All pieces are worked in a continuous spiral unless otherwise noted. Flat rows are used for the ears and are labeled "Row."
- Gauge is not critical for amigurumi, but your fabric must be dense enough that stuffing does not show through. Tighten your tension if needed.

Set-up

Construction
The arms and legs share an identical increase path through Round 3 (6, 12, 16 stitches) before diverging into a dc-cluster paw round, so the paw shaping sits at the same point on both pieces.
